How to get parents to stop smoking? My mom and step-dad have smoked FOREVER. They’ve quit twice and eventually go back to it. I want them to quit for good. They spend at least thirty-four dollars per pack of cigarettes and they get at least 3 at the store. I know they can use the money for more useful things. I don't think they understand how harmful smoking is to them. Is there anyway I can get them to stop for good?

Same with my dad, I’ve bronchitis and been getting it 1-2 times a year, doctor said it could be because of his smoking i told him that hes been mad at me since then. I dont understand how people can smoke, what kind of enjoyment do they get from it, what dont they understand how harmful it can be. And parents with children who are sick (me for example) dont give a crap. I’m sorry but if a person wants to divorce you can't make them live an unhappy life married. You’ll have to aqueous and let him out of this.
