I'm a 15 year old girl, my family has a lot of issues. Should I go up for adoption? I’m a fifteen year old girl, I live with my mom and dad and thirteen year old sister. My parents are somewhat abusive. My mom has hit, scratched, and shoved me about twelve different times in the past few years, and when she does, my dad comes in and says that if I call the police, I’ll have to sleep on the street. Last time I checked, I’ve the right to call the police, and my mom has no right to hurt her child Today, my mom was driving me and my sister home from school, [my mom forces me to take the bus home from school, which I do all alone on a city bus] and my mom started screaming at me and verbally abusing me. I couldn't take it anymore so I [stupidly] threw something at her but she got mad and told me that I cant live with her anymore, and that she hates me. I jump out of the car and my sister throws my brand new macbook that I payed for 100% [$1000] and now the corner of it’s busted. I walked for an hour home, and my mom screams at me again about my grades. I’ve a 3.6 Gpa and just because I didn't do well on one test, she screams at me. God forbid she help me for the next test instead of yelling over what has already been done. The last time my mom hurt me was this weekend, she put 3 long and deep scratch marks on the back of my arm, which people haven’ticed. People think of me as a happy and energetic person and I’m relatively popular, but I don't have any real friends that I can trust, and I'm constantly trying to find friends at my new school. I don't know if I should go up for adoption, go to counseling, live with a relative, or something else. Any suggestions? I'm desparate.

I really think you need to live with a relative, your parents have some ******* issues they need to work out. I swear, if my mom were like that, we'd have to fight. Um, yeah, like I said, live with a relative. You'll be way happier and not have to worry about the **** you're going through now. EDIT: Also, I wouldn't call child services, you don't know where you're going to go sometimes. It's best to be on the safe side and just live with a relative, you know where you're going then.

This is not a safe environment for you to be in. I’m sorry to hear you’re being treated like this. Do you have any relatives that you’re close to you that you can trust will take care of you. Maybe you should talk to a counselor at your school. They could at least help you in the right direction and maybe get you into a foster home. You don’t deserve to be abused and you need to look out for yourself.

The first thing your family needs is counseling. No you can't go up for adoption. And No, when child abuse occurs they attempt to keep the family Together and works on the problems. You might be placed in foster care—and there are lots of loving foster parents out there. On verbal abuse they’re Not going to remove you. If you’re being abused call the police or social services. No you’ll NOT live on the street—I guarantee. You can't live with a relative without your parent's permission. Good luck—and if you’re being abused call for help.
